What we store
- Your account: the name and email address from Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. With Apple you can hide your email; we then only see Apple's relay address.
- What you save: links, the text and images fetched from them, the summaries we write, your notes, highlights and collections.
- Imports: if you bring over another app's export (Pocket, Instapaper and others), the file is read on your phone and only the links, their titles and the dates you saved them are sent to us.
- How you use SignalLoop: what you read and when, your weekly review answers, and monthly usage counts that enforce plan limits.
- Product analytics: the names of actions in the app (for example "saved a link") counted per day with a one-way hashed account id, and crash reports from Apple's diagnostics. Never the content you read.
- Purchases: the App Store transaction identifiers for your subscription or purchase. Apple handles payment; we never see card details.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts the service and stores your library.
- AI model providers, reached through OpenRouter, write summaries, translations, review questions and answers, and create search embeddings from the text you save.
- Our servers fetch the web pages you save; when a site blocks them, Zyte or Firecrawl fetch the page instead. twitterapi.io fetches X posts you save.
We send these services only what each task needs. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your library to build a profile of you.
Connected assistants
If you connect Claude or ChatGPT, anyone holding your private connection link can search your library. You can reset or turn off the link in the app at any time.
Exporting and deleting your data
Export your whole library as a file from Settings at any time. Delete a single item from the reader, or delete your account in Settings to remove your library and account; if you used Sign in with Apple, deleting also revokes SignalLoop's access to your Apple ID. Backups roll off within 30 days.
